It costs how much?

It's time for the first ever contest on NorCalMrs' blog. So, for all 3 of you that read this blog, your chances of winning are pretty good. Here's how it works....

J and I went to the grocery store yesterday to pick up a dinner and a few misc items. I'm going to list out our purchases (without giving brand names so you cant look it up), and you tell me how much you think the total bill was with tax. The person who guesses the closest either over or under, will win. What do you win you ask? I'll be sending you a $5.00 Starbucks gift card.

Please list your guess in the comments section. All guesses must be submitted by Thursday, August 21st at 12:00pm.

Here is the list:

  • 8 pack value pack yogurt
  • Orange juice (med size container...approx 32 oz?)
  • 4 boxes powdered drink mix 10 pk pouches
  • cheese - sliced
  • 2 boxes of cereal (not the super huge boxes)
  • small frozen pizza
  • coffee
  • sandwich rolls
  • baked beans
  • med size container strawberries
  • 3 apples
  • head of lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • thin cut chicken breasts (4 to a package)
  • cookies
  • sangria (cheapy bottle)

Mind you, these fit into 2 bags. Good luck!

Oh, and I'll be keeping the guesses private until the after the contest ends. :)
