Let me clarify my post below....Prop H8te
I am beyond sickened and saddened that the supposedly forward thinking California has passed Prop 8. (Prop H8te as I like to call it.) This proposition has taken away rights from same sex couples. Who in the HELL are we to say that they cannot get married? If someone can give me a good reason THAT IS NOT BASED ON RELIGION, I will hear you out. I have yet to hear one reason other than religion. Whatever happened to separation of church and state? J and I were married in Las Vegas in a civil ceremony with no mention of God whatsoever. Does that mean we shouldn't be married? This isn't about religion people, it's about human rights. How in the hell can people knowingly take away something so special from people simply because they love the same sex? What is the divorce rate in the country??? Something like 50%. And those are heterosexual marriages. Such a joke that they say the sanctity of marriage of will not be upheld if same sex couples can marry. Do you know what day and age we live in? The sanctity of marriage has been ruined for many decades by straight couples already. Hell, half the men I know can't be faithful to their wives....so who are you trying to kid?
This really upsets me and I could go on and on about this. I truly hope people will see the error of their ways and fast. These are people, who just want to love each other. How can you get in the way of that? What does it harm you? It doesn't. Unless you relate it back to religion. Sickening. Truly sickening.
