Can you see me now?
Well folks, I'm afraid, I'm very afraid. TV is my favorite thing on the planet...I don't know why, it just is. What if I lost the ability to see that TV, or anything else for that matter? Eeeek. I went in today for a Lasik consultation. Turns out I'm a very good candidate to have the surgery done. So what did I do? I scheduled surgery for next Friday! They could have fit me in today to do it since it only takes 10 minutes, but I had to go back to work. I wish I could have done it so I couldn't come home and stress for the next week about how I'm going to go blind. I know so many people that have done it, and they all say the same exact thing. "I wonder what in the world took me so long." I know the benefits will be amazing! No glasses, no contacts, no solution, eye irritation from contacts, etc.....but there is always that small risk. It's less than a 1% chance of going blind, but there's still a chance and it scares the crap out of me. There were a handful of people there waiting for surgery...I could tell because they all had those blue paper surgery caps on, and had their glasses on, waiting outside the glass room where you could watch the procedure. They didn't look nervous, although I'm sure they were on the inside. Thinking it will really happen though has touched me. I find myself holding back tears thinking that I could go without glasses for the first time since I was 8 years old. What really hit home for me, was at the exit of the Lasik center, they have a basket where people put their glasses. Man, I have been dependent on glasses FOREVER....once again I got choked up thinking that in a week, I can put my glasses in that basket, and never have to think about them again. Keep your fingers crossed for me people! I'm going to need it!!

Why Me?
What do you call a one or two year old kid who screams and kicks for 7 hours straight??? BIRTH CONTROL. Oh yeah, did I mention this kid was sitting behind me on his obnoxious mothers lap for my plane ride home from Detroit? We boarded the plane at 3 EST/12 PST. Finally, at around 5 EST/2 PST we took off. Yes, 2 hours after boarded the plane and sat on the tarmac, we took off. There was some panel missing in the cockpit and they had to fix it...so we had to wait. It was then over a 5 hour flight....landing after 7 PST. Yes, the kid kicking and screaming and most obnoxious woman on the planet sat behind me. This woman was driving me crazy. Finally about 20 minutes before landing, I had to switch seats with J because I almost lost it on this woman. "Stop it", "Shut up", "Stop hurting me", "Stop annoying everyone on the plane", "Makes you want to have 4 more huh".....if I heard one more word out of her mouth, I was going to lunge over my seat and strangle her. I was worried about the security threat and everything else...but not this. Man, 2 days later my back hurts so bad I almost couldn't get out of bed this morning. Lady, I'm sending you my damn massage bill. Idiot. "Makes you want to have 4 more huh"....no, it makes me want to call the state to take away the one you have, and never allow you to procreate again. EVER. She was the most white trash, ignorant woman EVER. I'm still bitter about it 2 days later. The whole plane was irritated with her, yet everyone just smiled and pretended it didn't bother them...myself included. I should have told her to shut the hell up, but alas, I am too nice for that. HAHA...ok, maybe not...not sure why I didn't.
We then waited an hour for our luggage...we got home at almost 9pm......9 hours traveling. UGH. At least next time I fly, it's to Hawaii and not Ohio.
It was good to see my Grandpa who is pretty ill, and my other family. We left in such a hurry I didn't get to say goodbye to everyone. So sorry for that! On the plus side, we were able to eat at the Waffle House....YUM!! We havent eaten there since we lived in Georgia! I miss the south east and the food they have! Oh, I also got Caribou in Detroit! I miss Caribou too!!
Ok, I'm off to take some pain medicine now.......until next time.

I'm leaving on a jet plane......unfortunately
Why oh why is the world so screwed up? I've had a trip to Ohio planned for over a month now to see my Grandpa that I havent seen in years, who is ill. And sure enough, when I wake up, there is news of some terrorist plot that was spoiled. WTF people? GET A LIFE YOU STUPID TERRORISTS. I just want to go about my life, and not have to worry about whether or not I'm going to get blown up or not. Now, for those of you who really know me, I am terrified of flying. So now, I have to worry about this on top of it? Nothing a few or ten glasses of wine cant take care of!! ;)

Stupid.

Happy Birthday My Friend!
Happy Birthday to my good friend Jen! 27 today!! I hope you are having a good time in Paris!!! I miss you!!! :) Can't wait for Hawaii!
Broadway here we come....ok, not quite Broadway
I am so excited.....I just bought tickets for J and to go see this. I used to watch this movie all the time when I was younger, and I very excited to go see it live! I'm looking forward to a night out in the city of dinner and the theater! J has been very good about it all...he hates musicals, etc....but I told him this one has half naked women running around, so there is something for him to enjoy too! ;)
