Hot or Cold it's all the same....
Money saving tip time. Ok...fess up...how often do you go to Starbucks or the like? I used to go a lot. When I was working, I went daily. Yikes. I can only imagine how much money I spent there. My friend Malia and I would head out every morning from work and grab our daily fix. Mind you, I looked forward to this time every day to catch up and gab with my friend. I decided, however, that the my wallet did not like this time.
I started brewing my own coffee of choice in the morning. I'm not picky, I buy whatever is on sale. If I buy it and it's horrible coffee, I just scratch it off my list. I figure I'm saving about $1,000.00/year if not more, just by doing this.
And then there is the coffee you don't drink that is leftover in the pot after you are bouncing off the walls. I pour this into a pitcher that I store in my fridge for a day or two. When I am sweating my arse off here in FL, I grab a glass with ice, pour in some coffee and milk (rice milk for me). I now have an iced coffee that is about $2.00 at Starbucks.
So for the price of about 2.5 drinks at a coffee shop, I can buy a bag of coffee, get endless pots of coffee and even some iced coffee drinks for the lazy afternoons.
Try it....see how much you can save. :D

It's tip time...
Not sure what to do with that stale bread you have sitting on your counter? Feel guilty about wasting it and throwing it away? Try this instead:
Cut the bread into squares that are all the same size. Throw into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss up. You can also add seasoning of any kind that you like. Put onto a non stick cooking sheet or stone wear and bake at 300 for about 15 minutes or so. You will know they are done when they are nice and golden brown.
Place them in an airtight container and they will be good for a few days. Make a salad and voila!

One of those days
Do you ever have one of those days were you feel like you've grown 6 inches around your waist overnight? I am having one of those days. I think it goes along with the PMS thing...at least that is what I tell myself. I'm just bloated, or I've had too much water and salt combined. Or...I've just been plain lazy sitting on the couch all day every day. Hmmm.
Nothing fits right. My roll hangs over my jeans, all my shirts feel too tight. I try to get ready to go to a movie and have a mini meltdown because nothing fits and I'd rather put my sweats back on and lay in bed.
I've put on the thing that makes me feel the least fatty, and I'm off. Pray for me.

Open letter to the person who threw gum on the ground:
WARNING: PMS VENT AHEAD (READ WITH CAUTION)
Dear jerk off asshole douchebag:
I wanted to thank you so much for throwing your gum on the ground in 100 degree FL heat. Do you know what 100 degree heat and asphalt do to gum? They melt it douchebag. So when I open my door and a water bottle falls out (and being a responsible human being, not a piece of shit like you) I pick it up...only to my husband yelling "WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT." By this time I'm annoyed he's yelling at me and have no idea what he is talking about until he points to the bottom of the bottle. Yes..there is a long orange string hanging from the bottle to the ground, which is also all the way up my leg, onto my shorts, and my expensive WHITE purse. You know, because it's not gross enough to have your chewed up saliva-y gum all over my leg, but now I have to try to get it out of navy blue shorts. Did it come out, you ask? (Because you are suddenly a thoughtful person)....why NO....IT DIDN'T. I had to walk all over Target with orange stains on my shorts. And you better pray this shit comes out of my shorts when I wash them. As for my purse. Nope, can't get it out. It has stained the white fabric. Thanks a lot of you piece of shit asshole.
I HOPE YOU GET GUM IN YOUR HAIR!!!!!

Day 2...
It's not bad living without cable. Really. I guess I had sort of gotten tired of tv anyway at this point. I wasn't watching it at all during the day, and only at night. Yesterday I went to the lovely Tel's house for dinner and True Blood on DVR. We spent the night chatting and before I knew it, it was 11:30 and time to make the drive home so I could crash in bed! I made it through day 1!
Day 2: Not so bad either. I spent the day cleaning my house, doing laundry, figuring out why my ipod is broken, and organizing my pantry, etc. It's now almost dinner time and I think we have some netflix movies in the mailbox today, so we will watch those tonight.
This is only day 2 and I've been so productive....think about all of the things I cam accomplish now! I have lists and lists I've been putting off....but no longer! I currently working on a project involving photographs and frames I've had laying around. I also need to frame some artwork I bought and have just never gotten around to. It's almost freeing!

It has begun
Operation No Cable Day 1:
This will be a good thing right? What else can I do today besides hyperventilate and breath into a paper bag? All while I wait the 4 hour window out for them to come pick up the box so I can leave the house. To be continued......if I haven't gone crazy.
