I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for at this point in time. I am thankful for wonderful husband and loving family. I am thankful that I FINALLY closed on our home and we have officially moved in!

Finally!
We signed papers today for our house! It isnt technically ours until it funds on Monday and we get our keys on Tuesday. Then we can celebrate!! :0)

Momma got some new babies.......
We went to the new house today....and let me tell you...they did not skimp on the appliances! When I bought my house in MN from the same company, they bought the cheapest appliances GE makes pretty much. This time we got GE Profile appliances. Not the most expensive on the planet, but super nice in my opinion.
This time we got a Convection oven...awesome! It has a built in warming drawer AND a griddle built in to the top.
We also got a $500.00 microwave! Who spends that much on a microwave? Not me! It came free with the house!
We also have a brand new super quiet dishwasher, with anti bacterial settings!
Alas, the house did not come with Washer/Dryer or Fridge so we had to buy those out of our own pocket....so not quite as nice as the appliances that came with it! The washer and dryer rock...they communicate with each other. You wash things in the washer and it communicates to the dryer the settings you used and automatically sets the dryer. It's sweet!
And the fridge...well, it's just a stainless side by side fridge with water in the door, etc.
I never get excited about stuff like this...but I have to admit, I am super excited about these. Probably because a big house comes with them!
*The downside to today...we went to sign our paperwork at the title company and the lender never sent over the docs for closing. I emailed them probably 20 times to make sure everything was good to go for closing and was told over and over...Yes, it's all good, no worries. Ok, so we drove 1.5 hours for this closing and were told sorry, cant help you. So, I called the lender...gone home for the day. Called the sales consultant...today is his day off. Called the builder directly (mind you I work for them, and I'm still ignored...great)....she was in a meeting and would call me back.....never called me back. I'm a bit frustrated but hope to straighten this out in the morning. What builder sets a closing for you and then you dont close and you dont hear from anyone? I'm amazed. I used to be the closing administrator for this company and this would NEVER have happened. Simply ridiculous. Oh well. We'll figure it out tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to my good friend Lefty!!

On another note.....we finally had to turn on our heat at home. Brrr. We set the clocks back, and the darkness sets in....along with it comes the chill in the air! I love that chrisp fall smell in the air like firewood burning. I love the fall!! Especially now that I live in CA and there is no SNOW!!!!
