What would you do? We moved into our neighborhood about 5-1/2 months ago, and we've loved every minute of it...until this week. A few weeks ago we must have had new neighbors move in down the street. The reason we think they are new neighbors is the LOUD bass that comes from their cars, yes plural cars, about 5 of them, driving up and down the street all day every day has just recently started. THUMP, THUMP, THUMP....all day long. Not only do they play loud music that annoys the shit out of me...they speed up and down the street. J said he saw one of them come around our corner so fast he cut the corner and went up on the sidewalk. What if there had been someone's child or pet there? I hate people who show no regard for their neighbors and act super selfish like this. I have half a mind to call the cops or at least the HOA. I didn't pay a lot of money for my house, to have the value of it brought down by obnoxious neighbors. I'm so ticked right now. I work hard for what I have, all so someone else can move in and ruin it.
What would you do?

I'd do exactly what you're thinking of doing. Probably start with the HOA.
Why do people have to be so obnoxious?
I agree with Carrie...if this family can't behave nicely, they should get fined or talked to by the housing officials. You shouldn't have to suffer just cause someone likes shitty music and drives like a rally driver on crack - they should either get a soundproof room to blast their music and go off-roading in the desert.

Start with the HOA, but go to your local police department after that if you get no response. The bad news is that people like that don't give a rip about anyone but themselves and you are probably going to be fighting this until the moment THEY MOVE or you move. It's a sad truth.
